Subject: 5x eyebox tighter?

just wondering about the ZA5 vs the ZA3 --
one of the things about my ZA5 is that it has a rather "unforgiving" eye box sweet spot.
knowing that certain things are engineering problems -
-are all the 5x type of scope kinda tight in this area?
that china 1-6x didn't seem so tight in the eye box --but it was a 3" eye relief too-- and it has bee a while since i had it mounted --it may have been tighter than i remember --LOL
does a ZA3 have that same tight "sweet spot"? or is this more of a effect caused by very long eye relief?
if one was wanting a bigger sweet spot would a 3x scope be better or one with shorter eye relief?
is the 5x mag range a factor in that sweet spot?
