the big problem with the burris e1 is --
it costs $250
a vortex viper 3-9x with BDC costs $300 from SWFA
a vortex diamondback cost about $190 (sometimes a little less with sales/specials)
and the burris FF2 is still a good scope --every so often they come up on sale for $150+/- a few dollars
and you still got the redfield revolution in the same ball park price wise.
lots of good scope in the $150-$300 range these days.
personally i like the vortex viper cause if your going to go $250 anyway --it ain't that hard to cough up another $50 for a better scope.
though i will admit any of these scopes should do a good job for years--
i got a diamondback 2-7x that i very nearly traded to SWFA on a minox ZA5-- i ended up just buying the minox and keeping the diamondback--
yea the diamondback is a very good scope for the price IMHO.
bang for $$ diamondbacks are tough to beat.
i haven't bought a burris in a while, though i have a ff2 and a euro from a decade or so back, they have good glass and have served well on some hard kicking light weight rifles. - so it is a tough call on vortex vs burris deal. i think both are good scopes--
much is just what you want i think-- i would give the vortex diamondback and the viper a hard look before i bought a E1 though-- you might like them better.
