Those 3 are all high quality scopes. Optically, it's going to be a toss-up. You may notice subtle differences and your eye may prefer one view over another, but they are all 3 in the same league optically. In terms of mechanical integrity, who knows? Gaining any statistically meaningful data on that would require one to have a bunch of scope failures to eliminate luck being a factor. Any opinions you'd get in that respect will likely be anecdotal, based an a small sample size. The best you can do there is pick a scope from a well-respected brand name with a good warranty and a track record of providing good customer support. In this case, no problem there. All 3 companies will take good care of you should you ever have any issues with your scope.

I would select based on which scope has a feature or features the others don't have that is most important for you. The VX-6 has the locking turrets and has 6:1 zoom ratio. The Z3 is the lightest of the bunch. In addition to the Rapid Z reticle, the HD5 has "LotuTec" hydrophobic lens coating that sheds water very well, excellent for hunting in wet weather.

Regardless of which one you pick, you'll have a fantastic scope that will serve you well.
