Rifle Scopes : VX6, HD5 and the z3...opinions

Awesome, a couple of Texans to help a fellow Texan out!  Ccoker, I am in Austin as well.

Anyway, yeah, it's really hard for me to choose as they all have benefits and downsides.  I was just about to declare the Zeiss the winner based on a plex model I was looking through, when I found the actual reticle I wanted and noticed it was kinda hard to see on dark targets. It also requires a conversion to have turrets installed that can be dialed from Kenton, though I wonder if I could get the lockable ones from Zeiss put on.  That would be best as I am not sure about exposed turrets on a hunting rifle.

Other than that, it has a great FOV, and the best eye relief for me, though some significant pin cushioning at 2 power, not that it matters much.  It's also kinda heavy, but it's probably at the far range of manageable.

The Swaro seems very bright, and it's so light and the reticle is the easiest to see, but I don't really like the dots...seems like they would cover up too much at distance and not sure I like how the reticle lines up for my 375 . I also lacks turrets and I don't know if I can get them even if I want them.   But the biggest concern with it is the eye relief.  I had a Swaro Nova many years ago on a 375 and it would hit me now and then.  That really is my biggest concern.  It's also not so wide on the bottom or clear at close range as the others.

The Leupold has good turrets, is the widest and has an expansive view.  But the B&C reticle is about the same as the Zeiss on dark objects, and it seems to have no better eye relief than the Swaro.

So I was hoping to find some nugget of criticism that seperates these from eachother.  But if they are all equal under low light...have either of you used the B&C of the Rapid z in low light on dark objects?  My testing was under less than real conditions, maybe they would work just fine vs the swaro?
