Welcome to OT, Zack. Be advised that this site is owned by SWFA, an optics retailer. As such, when you mention one of their major competitors, often the name of the business automatically gets replaced by the word "competitor" by the forum software.

Please respect our host and refrain from promoting and posting links to their competitors. I'm sure you understand that they are trying to run a business, and therefore, it's discourteous to use the very forum they provide for our use to promote their competitors. Plus, doing so is a violation of the forum rules you agreed to when you registered your account.

Please re-read the forum rules, specifically Rule #3... http://www.opticstalk.com/the-ot-rules_topic5473.html

As for the scopes mentioned thus far, SWFA also carries Swarovski, and the Z3 scopes are as good as scopes get optically within your budget.

The Trijicon Accupoint scopes are very good as well, and SWFA carries their products too.

I own scopes from both series. The Swaro Z3s are a bit better than Trijicon Accupoints optically, but the Accupoints have a very nice, innovative fiber optics/tritium illuminated reticle that doesn't require batteries. The Accupoints are quite good optically, just not in the same league as Swarovski. However, the Accupoint reticle illumination compensates for the slight step down in image quality, where reticle visibility is just as important as optical performance in low light.
