I went to Gander Mountain the other day because they had a few HD5's in stock. The 2-10 is a nice package, better than I had thought it would be. It had a plex reticle. I thought it was something I would like to have on a pure hunting rifle. I'm not crazy about scopes with 3.5x on the low end… I don't much care for variables with 4x on the low end. I've not seen the Meopta, but just never had an interest in that particular range of magnification. 2-10 is great for a 30-06, I think.

The HD5 is typical Zeiss quality, it has a nice feel, looks good… no input on the Meopta.
