I have both the Mil Quad 6x and the Mil Dot 6x and for coyotes I would recommend the Mil Dot version as the lines are a tad heavier. Both will work since the outer three heavy pointed lines show up very well in low light on a Mil Quad, but the dots are heavier on the mil dot where the Mil Quad is much finer and more precise and better suited for daylight use and capable of great precision. The mil dots make great hold over marks for longer range on something the moves like a coyote. Really I tend to think the ideal coyote scope is a 1-4x Trijicon accupoint with a red post but thats lots more money.
