![]() Well, at first I thought the 2 MOA spacing was kind of odd and that they should have done 1 MOA However, after running a Leica with the IBS reticle with 1 MOA spacing I see the logic of the 2MOA spacing as it is easier to pick them up for normal hunting distances... (I am also more a Mil guy than an MOA) You can use the reticle to check a bucks rack, done this a lot of times with mil reticles and MOA reticles. Say for a MOA reticle, you have a buck at 200 yards and you put the reticle to check the width of the rack. At 100 yards say it's a 20" wide rack, that would be 20 MOA, at 200 yards it would 10 MOA. In the case of a 2MOA spaced reticle it would mean 5 hash marks. Make sense? battling a sinus infection and lack of sleep, so, bare with me! |
When I read about this my first thought was how great a tool this would be for measuring antler spread. I just wasn't sure how practical it was to use in real hunting situations. Thanks for the info! Chalk up another point for the 4W!
