I know this is an old thread, but my friend who has been hunting for 30 years loves my setup so I ventured to do some homework for him regarding which reticle and I came across this thread.
I use the 2.5-x10 accupoint amber. it is awesome. very fast tracking on (sometimes) very fast wild pigs. super accurate, I wouldn't dare to say the triangle is more accurate than the mil dot because I had no need to buy the mil dot(I bought the Triangle, and it worked great). I'm sure they're both the same, you just need to know how to use it.
But, in low light, I can definitely say the amber is unbelievable.
However, the issue with the post + triangle. I think this is the way to go. It gives you a wider, unobstructed view where you can post the top of the triangle right on the game.
Just ask the 75 wild boars that I sent to heaven in 2013 ;)
