The Big Sky has hydrophobic coatings which is VERY nice. My Big Sky is on par with my Conquest optics wise on everything but the reticle (Zeiss has great etched reticles). The Big Sky is a hair below my Z3's and Kahles (I do mean barely). I also think it is better than my Bushnell 4200 and WAY above my Leupolds (VX3 and VXR) as well. That's my experience with the Big Sky when comparing scopes of similar value. Don't have experience with the SII because for just a tad more you get Zact7 and hydrophobic coatings on the Big Sky. If it weren't for the reticles I would prefer it to the Zeiss Conquest by a hair due to the hydrophobic options. Good luck!
