Actually i don't think that the 32 mm Terra is bad. Up to about mid-power it is every bit as good as the 32 mm Conquest.

Actually i don't think that the 32 mm Terra is bad. Up to about mid-power it is every bit as good as the 32 mm Conquest.
I hunt with my scopes on 3x anyway, maybe i shift to 4x or 5x if i have time for a careful shot.
However, the design of the eyepiece on the Terra is similar to many other moderately priced scopes: higher power = less sharpness, brightness and eye relief. This design is inferior to that of the Conquests.
I wanted a smaller and lighter 32 mm scope of excellent quality for hunting, with the same reticle as my other scopes. My Terra is exactly that. A very good and comfortable to use hunting scope.
There is more to a hunting scope that just one performance or another. I look at the entire package.
I can shoulder the rifle with the Terra quickly, and i end up with both eyes open aiming at the target and seing a sharp and bright image. It works.
However, if i were to look into 3-9x40 scopes, i may look for a Conquest instead. I have 2 of those and i think that at $350-$400 they are unbeatable.
