Subject: VX-R 2x7?

I am in the market for a 2x7 or there about illuminated reticle with a 30mm tube. I have a few hundred Cabela's points, so it's a no brainer on where I am buying it. The VX-R series sounds pretty good for a hunting scope.
Any opinions?
