Subject: Redfield 1 3/4x-5x Lens caps NEED HELP

I have a vintage redfield widefield scope that had a front lens cover on it from Butler Creek, but broke. I am looking for a replacement for it, but they don't seem to be available. I would have used the indication numbers on the inside of the cap, but they were worn over time. I measured the outside diameter of the lens bell and got 1.47 inches. The chart on the package of the lens cover I bought indicates that it would require a size '3' cap. For some reason, the size 3 was too big![Sad]( "Sad")
. . I used another little paper tool from the package to see what size I DO need and got this.... Im stuck between a size 1 and 2. I need some serious help here.
