Broken scopes. If you.need to.see if a scope is tough enough.to live just put it on.a bear rifle and let some coastal bush Alaskan use it for a year or 2 . . I've broke all that I owned. A friend has broke the reticle out of the top of the line S+B, Ziess, and Swarovski.
Compared to a coastal bush Alaskan Tactical shooters baby their rifles. .
Granted the 1-4x20 VX ll and the 1.5-5×20 VXlll take a lot of abuse. Actually, I guess I did not break the fixed 3× 20 Leupold that I had on a 375 that I built. But, tho I shot italot I was very careful with it.
So, tho they are a little short on eye relief I'm gonna try the 1-6 SWFA scope on my 9.3×64 . I'm hoping that with the etched reticle it will hold up.
If it does I'll put one on my 416 and try the 1-4 on my 458 .
