Thought as much, but didn't see that same behavior on the Leica.  Different location but just as much fluorescent.  Agree that it was environmental.

Got the Leica ER i out just for some informal viewing at about 2030.  Still had a good 30 minutes light left.  Despite the dwindling light, I could still see deep enough in to the treeline that was about 600 yards away and easily distinguish the different trees and colors were displayed very accurately.  If it was hunting season and there was a mule deer in there, I would be tempted to take the shot.  IBS reticle is an excellent hunting reticle and very useful in low light.  Didn't turn on the illumination.

Always amazes me that with good glass I don't miss the higher magnification.
