Agreed. It's hard to design a scope that has 6:1 zoom ratio, greater than 10X top end magnification, and still keep it lightweight. I don't know of any of the high zoom ratio scopes that are light.

It's not a design flaw; it's just one of the tradeoffs you have to accept to get a "beyond 4X" zoom ratio. If you want a lightweight scope (and that definition varies depending on the individual), get a 3X zoom and in some cases, 4X zoom ratio scope topping out at no more than 9X or 10X.

Compared to comparable models on the ER i and illuminated Z6, the weight is all pretty much between 18 to 21 oz with the VX-6 at the low end. The 375 H&H is going to be a 13 lb rifle when it is all over with. |
