![]() How is the low light performance? Would I get better low light performance from Vortex's superior glass and coatings, or something like a leupold vx-r 2-7x33 much larger objective lense? I value beautiful glass, field of view, quick acquisition, and low light performance. Budget to 1200. I see demo versions of the Razor at that price. Thanks in advance! |
I always think glass trumps larger objective lenses/magnification, although the 33mm objective is hardly considered "unwieldy".
As much as I like the VX-R line, I have a 3-9x Firedot Duplex, with a $1200 budget, I'd look elsewhere.
Can't comment on Vortex Razor HD, because I've never seen one.
Conversely, if you had a $500 budget, then I would heartily recommend the VX-R. Maybe your comparison of the VX-R to the Razor was merely for illustration purposes?
