Subject: Monarch 3 4-16x42 vs Vortex Viper HS 4-16x44

First time poster, long time reader, great topic, love the forum.
Ok, I am looking into purchasing a scope for my Savage Model 16 chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. I have an old Weaver Classic V 3-9x38. I mainly hunt whitetail deer here in Wisconsin, but would like to get into predator hunting for population control and fun. I also want to start shooting for recreational fun (out to 600 yards). I am looking hard at both the Nikon Monarch 3 4-16x42 and the Vortex Viper HS 4-16x44. What are the pros and cons of each. I have not found much on what makes the new Monarch 3 different from the old Monarchs. I also have heard that Nikon Monarchs are not the best at tracking.
