I have a Tikka T3 lite in 270 and love it! Mine wears a 3-10 swaro and it is an exceptional scope, among my favorite hunting scopes, but not illuminated reticle.

Whatever you put on it, I recommend going with something fairly light and small, else it really throws off the balance of the gun. If you want illuminated, look at the Trijicon Accupoint scopes, they are a great value and quite good scopes. The same goes for the BAR.
I have now or have owned/used the 3-9, 2.5-10, and 5-20 Accupoints, they are well made and their illumination is fool-proof, no batteries to die at the worst possible time.
Having hunted a pig or 2, I recommend less magnification and more field of view. Don't overscope the pig gun!
Let me know what "longer range" is and what your budget is for each scope.
Also, for the Tikka, get Tally lightweight rings, they are great. Take the stock Tikka rings and throw them in the trash, they are a headache and have failed me on a few occasions.
