Hi guys!
I'm from Germany (near Wetzlar ;-) )and looking for a good glas to hunt wild boar at night.
If you ask hunters here in Germany they will all tell you that you need a Swarovski Z6i or a Zeiss Victory. For most people here a Meopta Meostar is "cheap crap", but some of the younger guys are using them and they say they are pretty good.
That's why I want to ask in an American Board to get some opinions from people who are not that focused at "our" brands.
Which Scope would you recommend for hunting at night?
Do you think it's better to buy a older scope with better glas and without illumination (That's what most hunters tell you here but they are about 60 years in average) or a newer with a little less light transmission and illumination?
It would be great to get a scope for about 1000$, but I will pay more if I have to.
I just don't want to pay 2000$ for 2% more performance (and not really more practical effect) compared to the 1000$ scope.
