For the money, Trijicon glass is quite good. For night time hunting, it is among the very best in this price range. Add to that their very good illumination, and for a night hunter, you have to double the budget to get appreciably better glass.

As for reticle, it depends. For pig hunting, I like the mil dot reticle, but on the 5-20 it is VERY thick. I have the 3-9 with a red triangle post reticle and it does what I want, but I prefer the very small aiming point on the mil dot more. The post reticle is fast on target, great for moving game. In a 3-9, that's the reticle to get.
