I sold all my high end scopes a while back because in my opinion, they were only really needed for shooting waaayyy past legal shooting light(and I wanted nicer rifles and smaller 40-42mm scopes). Granted there is a difference, how noticable I guess depends on the person. I hunt with plenty of guys with 3-12x56 Diavari's and get to use them and compare them a lot during the season. And if a Z3 is better than a Conquest, I wouldn't expect any earth shattering difference in going from a Z3 50mm to a 56mm Diavari.

If you own a nice set of binoculars, it would be hard for me to belive you could do much better than what you have. If you don't, I would put my money toward binocular's. I spend 99% of my hunting time looking through my binoculars and 1% lifting my rifle up to take a shot. I have yet to lose a buck, that I could see with my binocular's that I couldn't shoot with a Conquest or 4200 type 40mm scope. But there is definately a chance of it in dark timber, I have my doubts that it will ever happen to me on a food plot or open field during realistic hunting hours. For me, the scope is just the aiming tool needed for me to take a shot.......my bino's are what I "hunt" with ! JMHO
