Rifle Scopes : SWIFT scopes =shott glass?

I feel 4 INCHES of eye relief is sorta overrated and agree with you, Dan about fundamentals. 

But...

When I buy a scope with a spec'd ER of 3.75" and it smacks not only me, but a friend who I consider as good a hunter as I know, and a former Army Ranger, who shot it after me on the same day, then eye relief comes into play. I won't name the scope make, but it starts with a I and ends with an R.
