![]() My primary question is about the usefulness of 6× . It appears that guys use 10× to shoot out to 1,000 y/m. And use the reticle to estimate the range. As I will be using this rifle as a general purpose rifle. I need the light transmission and fov more common in hunting and calling but I want to get started on precision shooting also. |
Well, that depends on your AO. Where I hunt, in the brier patches and hard wood forests of the Carolina's, a fixed 6x would probably be less than ideal.
As Supertool stated, a SS 3-9x would be terrific. I have this and love it. I would concede that a German #4 is a better reticle in the briers at low light than a Mil Dot, but it's certainly doable.
