Subject: SWFA 3-15 for mostly hunting rig?

Just got mine today for my bushmaster ORC .308 with the mount. Can't wait to put it on and try it. Looks like I will be able to hit a 6" target at 300 yds. Any opinions? Now I have to learn how to use a scope like this. Look out hogs. Anyone have real experience on mounting this correctly on my weapon where I will have it perfect 100% correct with sighting it in? Thanks
