Rifle Scopes : Just scored a Kahles CL

Why? What kind of a clearance do you need...an inch?

Actually I have been trying to find some rings that are slightly higher without going to high rings. I do like scopes mounted as low as possible. In this situation however, I have to mount this one as far forward as possible to get the clearance, and eye relief isn't optimal. I can use it and with a little handling it becomes nearly natural, but I would prefer to have the ocular slightly farther back.
