Jason since you are prodominantly target shooting and potentially going out on a prarie dog hunt, I think the Buckmaster would work very well.
Mainly I would use this one, because of the BDC and the availability of Nikon's Spot On tech immediately available on your smart phone.
Here you can plug in all the BCE information and the program will tell you exactly what your hold overs will be on a specific magnification and indicate the yardage of the hold overs as well.
