The Victory line was designed mostly for the European market. Low light capabilities (large objective) is top priority for all of the night hunting they do. I'd say they buy as few 42 mm obj. scope as we do 56mm and beyond. The high price they command makes it prohibitive for the US market. Hunting in Europe is largely symbol of your social-economic standing. It is similar in prestige to be member of a fancy golf club in the US. I am positive that we produce more insanely expensive golf clubs than they do in Europe.
